Queer in Flux: A Radical Queer Convergence
We are organizing a convergence in November called Queer In Flux, which seeks to critically question the state of mainstream LGBT movements. Expanding notions of what queer liberation really means, QIF demands that folks wake up to the fact that assimilation does not grant you privilege, safety, or the good life. No my friends, it limits the boundaries of our freedom, it silences the voices of the already forgotten, it further marginalize queer identity into a controllable, sellable, palatable little box.
Join the Flux the weekend of November 12th-14th, as we reclaim queer liberation. The OSU student led organization, Queer in Flux is hosting a radical queer convergence bringing together a collection of voices demanding a reinvention of modern queer politics as we know it. Speakers and artists include Julia Serrano, Safe OUTside the System Collective, Trazmission Prison Project, Athens Boys Choir, Actor Slash Model, JAC Stringer, Spooky Qs, Dalice Malice, and Geppetta.
Friday, Nov 12th, 8:00-11:30 PM;
Saturday, Nov 13th, 10:00 AM-4:00 PM;
Sunday, Nov 14th, 11:00 AM-3:30 PM;
The Union at the Ohio State University,
1739 N High St.
Plan to attend the convergence, register here and receive 20% off your purchase at The Garden, The Chamber, or the Joint throughout the weekend of the convergence!
